I already feel chavvy enough when I park there with my ST170!

The RS will be subject to a complete strip and rebuild, intention being to use it as a track car - Maybe the occasional spirited drive >.>

That Q6600 of mine is capable of 3.4 on air in this board, but also capable of 4.0 if you put it in a better board with liquid cooling and a lot of voltage. After my i7 rig was built and it ceased to be my main PC, it ran in this very board at 3.33 with the aforementioned Swiftech Apogee GT (along with two overclocked, air cooled 8800GTS cards) for 2 years, folding 24/7 at 100% CPU load for all but a handful of days in that time. It's still one of my favourite machines, but it literally is just too slow now for anything but a courtesy machine.

There's life in LGA775 yet, especially when it comes to low budget office computers, but once you've used a quad or hex core PC with Hyper-Threading and almost more DDR3 memory than you could possibly fill with running applications, sitting in front of a machine like that is like watching paint dry with your hands tied behind your back and an itchy nose - boring and annoying

I never did finish the first Bioshock. Probably had something to do with it being the first game other than Halo that I got for the 360, and me being so unaccustomed to playing an FPS other than Halo with a console controller back then. I might dust it off and give it another whirl sometime. I know it's excellent, I think I just really sucked with the 360 controller for those first few months :hehe:

You really could run anything on 775 for the most part. Unless its massively threaded or heavily CPU reliant, a Q6600 or a Q9550 honestly could do the part. Of course an i7 920 or an i5 2500K is much faster, but let's be fair, for a nearly 6 year old processor, it's pretty fantastic.

On my side: My RAM is faster, my 670s overclock is absolutely hilarious, a girl (and maybe another) wants me, and I'm doing good in school. Life is good.

I was running stuff on the 775 rig last night to burn in the overclock on the Dominator DDR2. I know where you're coming from, and LGA775 really did have a fantastic run, but my 980x and 12GB of Dominator GT @ almost 2000 MHz smokes the Q6600 in video encoding time and 3D rendering, which is what I'm doing most of on this thing at the moment, along with Internets. Lots and lots of Internets ;) I know the X58 platform I'm running on has also had its day at the top as well, but I don't need to upgrade yet. What I need to do is try to get down to one PC, one server, one laptop

A few years back I'd have recommended 40 B&H but apparently you have to be about 35 to buy fags these days.

Also, smoking's bad m'kay? And not in the Michael Jackson way either ;)

    It's 18 now.

You have to be 18 to buy them, but there's no legal age to actually smoke them. ;) Besides, I'd much prefer cigars any day if it were ever to happen.
