I have just started on a new web deign and i would appreciate if anyone could tell me if it looks okay and any suggested changes. its http://members.lycos.co.uk/dominiccushnan/ Many thanks dom
looks good tho it looks a bit odd having a small frame in the center of teh page... could it not fill the entire page, or are there goin to be other things around it? (using netscape to view by the way)
The font is too small. You can set the size without using 4 sets of <small> tags. You have a lot of unused space on the screen. Blank space is good, but your main area looks cramped with all the content shoved into that little box. With some small tweaks, I think you'll have a pretty good page after you add the content.
Larger font required. Don't use all uppercase either, it's much harder to read. Take a look at this example: ELEPHANT Elephant. The mixed case one is much quicker and easier to read. I also feel that you could do with some kind of title graphic on the main frame, above the navbar, which should also double as a link back to the main page. The colours are a bit too similar, also. Try mixing grey and orange. It can work very well. Black text on orange background isn't too nice to read either... That's a few things for you to have a think about. I quite like the general style and layout of the design. Plenty of whitespace. Nothing is cramped - nice and friendly.
the yellow background is good, but as said change the fram colour to a slightly darker colour, use Arial as the font say size 12 (hey did u see the forum i sent ya) also wat about white as a font colour, or a creamy colour?
