I would love to see them actually include more unique cars and forget about having 500 different variations of the same car a la the Nissan Skyline. Also, they are missing A LOT of awesome classic American cars but for some reason have included a gigantic selection of 30 year old Japanese 60hp PoS cars that no one outside of asia could appreciate.

Car damage would be nice but the whole reason (or at least a good part of the reason) there isn't any is because the manufacturers wouldn't allow it because they think it would give their cars a bad image. They better get that in for the next one.

And as usual: better AI, online play, day/night transitions, real-time weather, live crowds, BETTER SOUNDTRACK! How about the ability to stream music from your PC to the game using a wireless network adapter to play your own music library? That would be cool. The list goes on: more tracks, track damage (tire marks, torn grass) at least 20 cars per race, better physics, for instance, flipping over cars in intense crashes like in Nascar Stock racing where cars roll over 20 times and break apart into a million pieces. How about a real time spotter that tells you whats going on with the race around the track like in real racing, that offers advice and verbal support like telling you how good or bad you're doing. How about add in some mini-games so if you get bored of racing you can go into the "arcade" and play some old fashioned 2d shooters or pinball or something. Give these mini-games so unlockable content. Maybe like when you score a certain mark in pinball you unlock a track.

More spoiler options for cars. The one's in GT4 were god-awful ricer ugly. They need to have an option to choose from one of dozens of different racks, and then you can choose from dozens of different spoilers to put on it. I'm sorry if I don't feel quite right putting a gigantic white double stack wing with an aluminum ugly-as-hell rack on the back of my Ford GT40.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Maybe I should e-mail this list to Polyphony.

Edit: Thought of a new one! How about the ability to use your credits to build your own custom garage! Be able to decorate it with posters, and even hang pictures on the wall that you took yourself in photo editor mode or during replays. You can hang pictures of yourself crossing the finish line, just a nose ahead of the competition. Maybe make it so that if you put certain tools in your garage you can do work on your own cars at a discounted "do it yourself" cost without having to go to the manufacturer. You could buy the beginner tool set which gives you say a 10% discount off of the normal cost for work. Then, after using the beginner tool set for a long period of time you unlock the option to buy an "intermediate" tool set which lowers costs even more, so on and so forth.

personally i would like to see ferrari and lambourghini maybe even maserati, with regards to the damage thing i would like to see them take this a step further and incorporate a realistic damage engine one that can simulate carbon fiber damage, Because i think we all no that if you crash a zonda/enzo its not going to look like a steel bodied merc for example. Animated pit crews? with plenty of gaffa tape to fix all the damage youve done.maybe a random efect generator thing for, punctures, loose wheels, botched pit stops, etc. that would make it a bit more realistic :thumb:

    ahh well i can dream!!

Animated Pit Crews are supposed to be coming, so be happy ;)
Yeah, I think it should be good if you have to service your own car, but not so random, if you drive HARD, then your suspension will hurt as will tyres and brakes, get me?

I think a realism slider in the settings menu would be great eg.

    Arcade |-------------|------------------------------------------| Simulation

Arcade offering easier handling, more drift like and allowing dirty driving to take out your opponents (not like burnout, just making them spin and ramming them) and only visual damage (not affecting performance)

Simulation offering extremely reaistic and hard handling, under and oversteer hard to correct and trying to slam your opponents only slows you down and damages your vehicle.

I love most racing games but the GT series is too hardcore simmy for me, the PGR games have me hooked in varied race styles, the allowing of doing steel thru to platinum difficulties for individual races and a perfect balance between sim and arcady handling.

PS/OT. Has anyone ever got more then 5 platinums in PGR2?? It's really tough for me!

I disagree with the above. GT has *ALWAYS* been a Sim, not arcadey crap.

How bout a better representation of a cars handling. Almost all of the cars push pretty bad in gt4, although they do handle alot better than gt3. One of the cars that handles the worst is the viper, yet the viper has one of the best skid pads and handling properties of any production car(viper has better handling than the corvet, yet in the game the corvet is always handles better). GT needs to be as realistic as Ferrari f355 challenge(the arcade version). Even Viper racing back in 98(or was it 99?) had a better representation of a car's handling characteristics.

Polyphony should just buy the license of Ferrari and Lamborghini so we can see some glamorous supercars oh yea! Surely after all those sales of the game they can now easily afford it.

Vision Gran Turismo isn't official, it's just the name for a short demo video of what Polyphony wants the next GT to be like.
