English & French (speak both at home) German at GCSE level. Picking up a bit of Dutch from the students at Uni also... man its a hard language!
I don't know what my native language is. I was born and have always lived in England but my first language was French. Then at about the age of four I forgot all my french because I realised no one else was speaking it for some reason and learnt english. I got a A at AS level french and can understand it almost perfectly. Speaking is another matter though, I used to be perfect at that but am loosing more and more of it as time goes on. I also know a bit of German, Japanese, Korean, VB, PHP, C++, ASM, Perl, SQL, Java and probably a load more I can't think of right now . 2900 posts

Things I can say and understand in Japanese..., "Kanichewa," "mushi mushi," and "san"... Things I can say and understand in German..., "Nein," "ja," "blitzkreig," "lagerhaus," and "essen"... EDIT: Addition to the German: "Danke," "achtung," and "frankfurter"...
English German GCSE, i can kinda understand what people are on about but have forgotten most of the words. German websites are pretty easy to nav. Japanese to the extent where i know about half a dozen words and have listened to it enough where i hear the spoken words and only have to half read the english dub sentance to get what's been said... if u get me, and only on common phrases Cant read it though, not at all hahaha. Does "student" apply? Where every other word is a swear word? So, ok in conclusion after all of that im only an English speaker.. Can someone PLEASE invent a universal translator so i can understand everyone?? It would make life a lot easier.
