First of all hello Please be patient with me as i'm a noob to this moding malarky Any body modded one of these before: Its a few years old now and not exactly high spec but it does what I want it too. Spec: 933Mhz PIII 256Mb Ram 30Gb Hard Drive CDRW/DVD combo Drive (died earlier this week ) Wireless mouse and Keyboard 15" LCD monitor I'm trying to think of things to do to it but don't really want to cut the case up. The only thing I can think of is building a new case for it (i'm thinking wall mounted perspex case, nothing like jumping in at the deep end). Any ideas are very welcome. Dan

well get over your fear of the the dremel start cutting you could make a side panel window, put in some lights It looks like a laptop type cd drive, you could take the cover off so you can see it spinning it would look cool because of the sidemount drive get a new mouse and keyboard if you get really good at dremeling and want a tech-ey look make clear benzel for that lcd maby wire up some *dim*glow effect* lighting for it
Isn't that grounds for banning? I would search around, look at what others have done, on this site as well as others. Then sit down with some paper and think about what you would like to see done. The skies the limit. Simple things like "I don't like the color" to "Wouldn't it be great if I could plug this cable into the front instead of the back" on up to feathers and hovering cases. Then decide what you are capable of and work out a step by step plan.
If u make a side window, then also window your hdd and put some leds in it . And also paint some stripes because stripes are always nice i dont know what. And choose flashy colors because ur comp is a bit dull. Thats what i would do. PS: agree with shadow, read some project logs and get ideas.
A side window would be pretty difficult, unless you got some rather flexible plastic. I think a good paint job would liven up the case.
