ok guys. I graduate from HS in a few months and my parents are wanting to know what to get me. they spent around 700 dollars on my sis so i think thats gunna be my limit on the budget. Just looking for ideas b/c as of right now i have no clue what i want. thx
ask them for the money, and then buy 9800GTX or have 9800GTX reserved. or, if you are an overclocker: watercooling. always wanted it, but im poor
A trip to somewhere? I'd love to get a free trip and some pocket money for booz... Food and gifts Actually I don't know how old people are when they finish HS.. Maybe a laptop?
well i dont drink b/c as of right now im only 17 and legal drinking age is 21. I like the idea of a watercooling setup and materials to build my first scratch case but my parents didnt so i may ask for a tablet pc since i like those or to go to florida for spring break or sumthing. Keep the ideas comin lol. thx guys
Turn the money or offer of gift down. Explain to them that you're greatful for the offer, but that you recognise education is it's own reward, and that having graduated high school is reward enough for your efforts. You'll lose a gift of up to $700, and gain a new respect and apreciation of maturity from your parents. And if you ever really need them, they're far more likely to actually help you with whatever that thing is.
That's deep. I would have to recommend a laptop or multi monitor setup like Kipman725 said Don't skimp out on the laptop though.. might as well buy something you're at least going to enjoy using than a cheap piece of crap
i have a laptop right now but its 2 years old. Dell inspiron 6000, 512 ram, pentium m 1.6, intel gma 650. Its ok for surfing the web but thats about it. If they get me a new one ill give them the old one so they will have a pc to use. B/c as of right now they just use mine.
Look around online for coupon codes.. those can help A LOT! I saved about 51% on my HP Pavilion dv9000. I got a cto one for less (significantly) than the asking price of the base model..
