Check out ebuyer goto http://www.ebuyer.com and do a search for "digital cameras". They have good reliable reviews on that site. I have a Fuji S7000, which is an excellent camera, but probably a little too expensive for you (approx $400), although I would really recommend stretching to one of these. You won't get a better camera for the money, and it will last you years. Excellent flash, decent zoom, even got manual focus, and the settings, wow!!
After doing my research into buying a camera I decided Canon is one of the better options, was looking at the A75 or A85 myself, shame I have no money atm
