Another hopefully interesting thread. As the threads title says, whats your job? Curious to see what the people around here to fuel their computer / tech addiction. Me : Unemployed in my last year at school. Taking a gap year and heading to the oil rigs to train to be an electronic technician.
Pizza Delivery I am going to go to school in the fall(september) for the automotive repair program at my local community college.
Unemplyed. I've studied to be electronics installer/assembler, but never really expected to find work as one. Second year in uni starts in two months..
IT Technician at the local university. Not bad for a 19 year old with no experience or qualifications other than A levels. Starting Monday, we have 647 new PCs that are for staff for the 'refresh program' That will be a fun challenge. Usual day to day work is going out to provide support for staff, general hardware and software support, printers, peripherals etc.
Employed doing whatever on Earth I can to keep my head above water Currently: Selling beauty treatments for a fashion studio Selling bus tour tickets for a bus tour company (duh) Searching for something more permanent and not based wholly on commission
IT retail, diagnosis and repairs, for an small local IT shop. Normally only do Saturdays (in term time), now working 3 or 4 days a week, yay money. I'd love to do pizza delivery (in a company car) Edit: Though I'm off to uni in September/October (Chemistry).
Self employed furniture designer/maker. Hate it, so im currently looking for pretty much anything thats full time atm. The monies never going to be as good but it'll be a lot less hassle and hopefully give me more time with my family. Would love to move into the web development or programming sectors but no qualifications or time to do a course
Got my own game studio/software company. I'm a software engineer/programmer/modeller/sound engineer/CEO
I'm a care worker for adults with learning disabilities and the administrator. Going to uni (again) in September to study politics though.
technically I'm an IT specialized in networking realistically I'm an engineering student and I forgot most of what I learned on networking
Forklift driver / Packing Operator. Only this summer, since it seems that my first year in Uni/Polytechnic will start in next two months
I mail a bill to people who don't use question marks at the end of questions. Seriously, though I'm unemployed at the moment. In October I'll be off to Durham University to study engineering.
