Cooling which of these blocks are better?.....

i'm looking at buying a Koolance Exos 2 but since they come with no water block i need to get one. now would i be better of with a koolance one (CPU block only) pictured here or an Asetek antarctica pictured here or are there better blocks than the ones i have mentioned when i say better block i mean 10mm ID tubing and most possiblke heat disapacition (which i woud presume is better)

 

Best thing to do is read reviews about both of them and see which has better performance. I was personally go with the asetek one, you just need a Y-splitter with it since it has 1 inlet and 2 outlets. I dont really like koolance products.

EDIT: Um, danger den makes some good water blocks, as well as Swiftech.

 

for the flow that you're going to get w/ a Exos 2, i'd get a Koolance block. they do well w/ low flow rates. the Antartica is a great block though. i should know, i had one. i just never used it w/ a low flow system before (had it w/ a Eheim 1250 and then a MCP-650). i would go w/ the Koolance b/c you only need 1 inlet and 1 outlet and it's designed for low flow. but the Antartica is not bad either, plus it looks really cool .of course, the STORM is the best block out there right now.

 

i didn't realise the Exos had a low flow rate i thought it would have a relatively high one since it can disapte upto 700W of heat with only 2 120mm fans and rad because if you think i BI pro with a decent fan can getrid of just over 200W if i'm correct......i think since i don't like the look of the koolance blocks (apart from the aqua packs [ i think they look very cool]) i would look into the asetek one.

 

you need to know which have the best performan. and I think the koolance block have it!

 

The Koolance units are actually what I would call low flow on the Exos II at about 2 liters/min. The original Exos had about 1 liter/min of flow for comparison. So just about any of the supposed low flow blocks would be fine: Aqua Computer, Innovatek, Koolance, and others. If you really do have 2 liters/min flow then another good choice would be the Swiftech Storm (G4).

 

i looked into that swiftech storm block and it said it did better with 'high' flow systems (e.g 1GPM) now if i'm correct its 5 litres to a gallon so i suppose 2 LPM isn't too bad.....i know what i'm gonna do now. i'm gonna e-mail koolance to ask for an actual flow rate then do more research into which block (either the asetek or the swiftek) does batter with the flow rate koolance tell me.......thanks for the help all of you!
