I do not know much about projectors and would like some help.

Since I do not know much here are some rules I set my self:

Buying from Richersounds as they include 5 year warranty and sell mostly good models.

    Short throw would be best.
Price of replacements bulbs factored into running costs (lower is better) (where to buy, can you replace with an LED buld?)
I will have to buy a screen as I am not allowed to paint the walls :(
but I could do that at a later point.

I have either 2.4m distance from wall to wall or much more the length wise but that would be a last resort.

Budget wise max £800 (might squeeze a tiny bit more if required)

Not sure what ells I should add?

    Thank you in advance :D

I thought a screen would be better than wall paint in terms of bouncing light back into your eyeball.

From what I have read on AV forum if you use the right surface (fine grain participle board) and frame it in mat black paint.
