Adventures in overclocking, so previously I attempted a 3.6ghz overclock of my CPU. I think I had some settings wrong as when I ran IntelBurntest the system BSOD'd and I had to change my settings back.

Well I found a handy video on youtube of how to overclock an i5 2500k up to 4.5ghz. I didnt want to do this so I picked a lesser ratio. My system for some reason was stuck on 3.4ghz and wouldnt allow me to take it back to 3.3ghz.

In anycase that was my doing somehow.

Heres a screenie of my overclock.

And here is a link to the video which detailed the settings needed.
i5 OverClock to 4.5ghz on Asus P8P67 Motherboared.

I'm going to increase the overclock again shortly to 3.8ghz.

Before I do that I'm going to run IBT on High with five runs and see what happens.

Edit: Decided to go up to 4ghz IntelBurntest passed. I'm going to drop it back down now as I don't need it to 4ghz all the time. Changing the HSF in a week or so. Thinking of using a Corsair H70 or maybe just the Thermaltake Frio xD

Oh and max running temps under 100% load where under 70c XD. I also turned all fan profiles off. So my rans run at max.
