    That is RaLink RT5370.

You might try to download their June 2015 drivers, not sure if it supports Windows 10, but worth a try :

If these won't work, then sadly you need to wait, or ask for Windows 10 drivers from Mediatek.

Thanks buddy I'll give it a go, I didn't know about checking the hardware ID, that will come in useful next time I'm looking for drivers

I tried the driver and it installs fine and shows up under device manage as working but windows still only shows the LAN icon in the system tray and not the WiFi icon. I guess its just not compatible

It always show the LAN icon, question is if you click on it, if it shows wifi networks.

I thought it would show the WiFi icon like windows 7, I clicked the LAN icon and it just shows a blank panel

Ok, in that case right click it, Open Network and Sharing centre, click on Change adapter settings and check if the wifi is listed there. If yes, then doubleclick on wifi adapter, should show visible Wifi networks.

In any case, if it does not work, then you seriously need to wait for newer driver. Or grab a card with working Windows 10 drivers.

there are a few adaptors that just won't work in windows 10, my daughter had an Atheros ar5008 that even though installed and apparently working could not see any networks

I just replaced it with a tenda w311mi which windows 10 finds installs and just works with, not even needing the wifi key being typed again
