The other work PC is playing up at the moment. It's Z77/i5 3470/Win 10 with HDD.

Since last week the PC has become erratic and locks up when trying to use the USB connected online banking pad.
The spare pad and separate cable make no difference, and I'm stumped.

I've defragged the rapidly filling HDD (nearly 90% full and due an replacement), tidied up 1000s of emails out of Outlook 2007 and compressed the folders.

I haven't tried running with the ESEST AV software off, which was updated last week...

All help appreciated, the boss is getting frustrated!

Is it only the banking pad that's causing the issue? Does the pad need some software installed? Could that be causing the issue? What about trying the pad on another computer?

Thanks GK, the pad works on my PC, it may be the software, as it does have security software that runs on it. I'll do a full disk check when he's next out and reinstall the security software and see whet happens.
