Okay guys here's the problem. I've been getting these critical errors, most of the time it's when my PC is going unused. Sometimes it will happen when I browse, mainly when I'm streaming videos.

The part I don't understand is if I leave Windows Media Player going it never crashes even when I don't touch my computer for hours. For the past 2 days or so I left WMP going and no crashes.

Today I decided to turn it off and see what would happen. I took a quick shower, when I got out to check my PC had already crashed. To me this is beyond bizarre, but maybe it will make sense to someone here.

Also I've googled the problem quite a few times. I can't come up with any useful solutions. It never crashed with XP/Vista. It's a fairly new computer so I doubt(hope!)it's not a hardware issue. Anyway here is the error report...

    Seems like a driver error.

Do you have a Realtek soundchip on your mobo? Try updating that driver.

Well my LAN is Realtek. Under Audio it says "ADI AD2000B"(SoundMax). I tried updating drivers before. Some would install others not so much. Guess I could try again...

what events are logged prior to the one you posted?
have you analysed the dump file? %SystemRoot%\Minidump

Cold boot your PC, logon, leave it and see if it crashes.
Does it only crash after closing WMP, browsing the net, streaming video in browser?
