Most looking forward to blue light reduction mode natively coming to Windows 10 in Redstone 2. F.Lux works at the moment, but it'll be nice to have it baked into the OS.

Same, it's not in the current preview build though, so I can't say how it compares to f.lux.

I wonder if that bluelight thing will be a viable replacement for f.lux.

Also, I'm crazy interested in the MS VR stuff..

@liratheal - Found this interesting comment on Ars Technica, about the new blue light reduction feature in build 15002:

The options for it are fairly limited atm, you can turn it on/of, set how yellow it makes the screen [and it is yellow rather than the red/brown of f/lux or others] and you can schedule it from sunset->sunrise or for custom hours...

No option for apps to override it and as far as i can see even when scheduled it's a straight on/off thing and not gradual like f.lux.

...and, personally, I find the whole thing just as annoying as f.lux.

This is what the settings [currently] are.

It may not be immediately obvious in the pic, but the anti-blue light tinting isn't present on any screenshots captured while it is turned on.

@RedFlames - Thanks for the extra information and the screenshot - the way Microsoft have implemented this sounds a bit disappointing. I suppose they don't want to overload users with settings, but I'd also like options to over-ride it for certain apps. Also, the fact it's more of a yellow-tint - I hope this doesn't affect its effectiveness.

Still, there's time for Microsoft to add back missing functionality, maybe once they start receiving messages on the Feedback Hub about this feature.
