My PC really doesn’t like this latest Feature Update to Windows 10. I’ve tried to let Windows Update install it many times now and each time it fails and returns with “Some update files are missing or have problems” error code “0x80070003”. Anyone else?
Try running the Windows Update Reset Tool prior to the installation. Option 2 (Components) then option 11 (Registry).
TBH the 1903 detection is broken, I had two PC's running on the previous release for ages and neither would update to 1903. With one PC, I ended up downloading the 1903 release ISO onto a USB stick and installing that way when I rebuilt the PC. The other I manually downloaded the 1903 update from here and installed it, worked fine. Still a few issues with 1903 according to this.
I seem to recall that there's also some software that stops the update from being installed - IIRC, DRM or anti-cheat software.
That’s what I wondered. There’s nothing extraordinary about my PC. I don’t have a crazy collection of hardware attached with tonnes of drivers. But I do have music software that takes control, or maybe the plethora of anti-cheat/DRM stuff.
