Windows windows 7 installation help

    hello all i am currently building my own pc and because my hard drive was out of stock it didnt come with the rest of the things. so i wanted to know if i install windows 7 on my old hard drive that has xp on and then later install it on to my new hard drive with the same cd and product key will it install onto the new hdd. thanks

    Yes, should not cause any problem.

    That shouldn't be a problem, but are you planning on keeping your old pc, if so might want to think about the graphics and sound drivers etc, as you will have to install these on the old hdd before it will work properly with the new hardware. Then roll them back again to work with the old PC once your new HDD comes.
