Hi all, This problem has been bugging us for months. We have a Vista laptop running Windows Mail (my first mistake I know) and any attachments that we receive seem to take an age to open (I can go away, boil a kettle to make a coffee and it is still thinking about opening the attachment). During this time, Windows Mail becomes unresponsive and won't even appear if I click on the toolbar. This happens with new and old emails so it is not a downloading problem. I use the paid for AVG anti virus and even if I turn it off, this problem persists. Any ideas guys? Vista is fully patched. Thanks Andy
If you have no other slowdown issues then it's probably just the software being rubbish. Ditch windows mail and go with something else.
Well thats Vista for yo- jks. it may be caused by a slow internet connection or as Yslen said, it may be the software and you should use something else. I recommended Gmail as it fast and has VERY good spam protection.
