Am I alone? Or does anyone else find that installing Windows Updates regularly - about 1 in 2 - trashes their network?

I have a mix of wired and wireless desktops and notebooks some running XP and some W98 and I find I have to re-install Windows on one or more machines after some updates. MS info never seems to make it clear when the update may compromise your network. Is there any way round this?

If your network depends on an XP box to function then you have problems anyway. :p

I've not had this problem myself or with any other XP box on my LAN. Although I do update manually rather than letting the thing take control and do it itself.
