Hey hello ppl! I have a little problem!! i´m going to change my mobo and cpu but i didn´t want to install xp again!! is there a way to install my hardware without re-installing windows??
Uninstall any Mobo specific drivers (such as Via, Nforce etc) before you change. Download new drivers for mobo in readiness. Replace mobo and CPU Boot Up Install new drivers. Laugh maniacally. I've had 100% success rate with this method.
Oh man, I'm sat here in my secret base, have the big leather chair and the white cat, I've even got sharks with laser beams. The second I try for any kind of maniacal laugh, the cat's off like a shot, poor thing. Is there no other way?
If you get any problems after you've installed the new hardware, i'd recommend doing a repair install. Of course you should also have a copy of XP to hand after the upgrade, it'll need quite a bit of stuff i'd imagine...
