I need some recommendations for a wireless camera, needs decent night vision and preferably some robust software (that doesn't phone someone in Beijing) and recording to a SD card. I would be recording overnight so a decent recording time (ideally some decent compression) and ability to monitor via tablet would be useful. I know you said you didnt want to spend a fortune. I am after a camera, mostly the same requirements but I want to externally mount it. I too wanted it to record to SD card on the camera and was hoping to use Domoticz on my Pi with the motion library to send motion events to me.. That interesting but a bit over spec. Its only to record a room that's 3m square over night, but I think it ticks most of the other boxes.
