I've just got beta access to Wrath of the lich king in europe.

Is anyone else on the beta servers as alliance?

    My character is Jgc.

No beta access for me :(

You encountered anything you're allowed to talk about?

Also, I hate you now :(

The beta agreement doesn't say I can't talk about it but I've only logged in for about 30 minutes so far.

I quit playing WOW:BC a year ago so I'm unsure of what in the client is new. There is in game voice chat now which is new to me and the options menu is much more in depth than it used to be.

I've not travelled to Northrend yet but I did fly up to a new zone in the Eastern Kingdom (not sure if it's WotLK content though).

The achievement system is cool but I've not worked out what benefit there is to unlocking them yet.

Mounts are no longer items in your bags, they are added to your character.

I've spent 12 days, 1 hour and 11 minutes playing the game so far and I've only had it 2 months... Can't wait for WotLK.

Yeah I cancelled my subscription for what? The fourth time? Around March this year. Every 6months or so, I end up playing it every hour god sends for three or four months, feel burnt out, and cancel.

Then the *******s release new content...

I played the WoLTK Beta a bit yesterday. Death Knight is definately very cool and I can already forsee an over abundance of them on day one (I except crashes, lots of mob camping, the works). So I will probably end up taking my Paladin to 80 first before even thinking of rolling a Death Knight. The powers are awesome, and it's hard to not think of them as overpowered right now due to starting at 55 immediately (You are so used to seeing your damage scale up that jumping into a DK at 55 and seeing 200-400 damage on special attacks feels awkward at first). I'm trying not to play the beta too much, I still want to be suprised when I buy it. My friend plays it for hours, a bit of a waste if you ask me, because it will all be wiped at release and those who didn't drop BC all together for a limited beta will have the edge in terms of money and gear when it releases.

Only shame about WAR is that it looks too much like WoW. I'd hoped they'd reclaim what Blizzard robbed and give it a more unique look but so far from what I've seen the maps/landscapes are very generic looking to me. The character models are really nice though, way better than WoW, as are the classes/professions - WANT A WITCH HUNTER!

WAR is going to be on my list of things to play this year.

I rolled a Death Knight this morning and played the first few quests for 30 minutes. It's interesting that they chose to start at lvl55 as we'll see EPL/WPL and some of the original end game content being played again.

What do you think of Blizzard giving Death Knights so many free perks Jamie? I don't want to spoil it for anyone but if you've atleast aquired your weapon then you know what I mean.

I liked wow mostly because it was simple and grouping was a blast. Then all the ******s started coming in to play wow. Which is normal in all games.

Warhammer is said to be simple, but with way more depth than wow.

If they make him just like in warhammer BG it will be sweet.

I'm not lucky enough to get into the WO beta as of now. Beta testing wow was fun.

Yeah, it almost negates the need for a weapon enchant if a DK wanted to be cheap. Although, I think it will be overkill to have an enchant ontop of the rune enchantment. I don't blizzard has said the two can't be on the same weapon (or did they? I don't recall them saying a DK can't have both).

The starting quests are actually pretty fun, but I am worried at how much interest will slide off once you hit Outland (Going from new content --> Old Content ---New Content makes no sense to me honestly). I think Blizzard should have designated an expansion only area(s) of Northrend for 60-70 leveling. I don't know how others feel but I wouldn't have purchased WoLTK just to have to do Burning Crusade content first on my Death Knight.
