    XBOX PC mod, our 1st attempt at building a fully functional XBOX PC.

    We used in this build;
    ASUS AT3N7I ATOM Based motherboard
    SATA DVD/Rw laptop Optical drive
    80Gb SATA HD Mounted in the original XBOX caddy

    This was built onsite at the shop and runs perfect with no hotspots or problems, uses the original on/off buttons, LED's and front USB all rewired and working!

    Can you please repost pictures? I have a plan to do something similar.

    I did sort the pictures, as in the revised post above. This little beasty is now showing a montage of pictures in the shop as a showpiece... we think its cool but maybe, given the lack of response here it is not a unique or impressive mod as we had thought? ....

    Very cool but I would have expected a bigger HDD for a media PC

    Still cool :thumb:

    If everything is streaming from a file server there isn't any compelling reason for a huge hard drive.

    That looks pretty rad, you should do a window mod and possibly spray the white areas a nice blue to match the front faceplate.

    But as far as it's going now so far so good.

    =D

    Thanks for the comments, we wanted to keep it looking as authentic as possible for the surprise factor - personally i like understated, but that is of course an opinion. We have had some interest in making more and we may be able to include various other cosmetic mods to the build but the labour is extremely intensive on this so production is unlikely....

    we have done a PS3 very similarly now and that has some nice touches..... may post it up when i get chance!

    To the_beast; the hard drive was unimportant and just happened to be at hand when we intalled the OS, if we wish we could have put any size in but this was just for fun and so irrelevent really...

    Thanks for the feedabck all!
