    Hey everyone.

Ive recently upgraded, and plan on upgrading further by buying a 9600GT, however my current power supply isn't up to the job.

So ive been looking around and found the XFX Pro 450 Core edition power supply.

It looks as if it will suit my system fine, however im unsure if scan have gotten the rail output correct, as they say it has 53 amps on the +12V rail.

Does anyone have this PSU, or one similar? If so would you recommend it, or one similar?

Thanks for any input received :thumb:

Why not pay like £20/30 more and get a Modular PSU?

Looks like a good buy, do you know how many amps this PSU has on the +12V rail(s). I can't seem to find the spec sheet on the antec website

There is a thread about the VP series over at jonnyguru: http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7572&page=5.

tldr; fine for a low spec rig, can get noisy under high load and capacitor quality could be better but for that price, worth a punt.

I bought a Silverstone SST-ST40F-ES 400w a month or so ago for £29.95 from Scan, that was a great buy but the price has gone up now.

If you are nervous about the VP450, try the Corsair CX430 for £35.

yeah, if the corsair cx430 is priced the same, grab it...
don't know much about the antec, but at this price point nothing is going to be awesome...

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

Im not too worried about it being modular or not, ive put up with having cables all over the place for a fair few years, kinda gotten use 'tidying' the case with cable managment.

As for the suggested power supplies i'll definately have a good look at all of them, and from what ive seen so fair they are all capable of running my current set up with a 9600GT added, although I suppose for £10-£20 I should think about future proofing it a bit more.

    Thanks
