    hello there.

I'm looking for the shortcut name that enables you to put more user type than limited and admin (ie power user)

I know it has a shortcut that you use in run... but I've forgotten it and would really like to use it again

also, a friend of mine install XP and didn't made his account private and would like to put it private now... where he can do that? (that's why I'm searching for the account type shortcut in fact)

    thx for your time

no it's not management console. it allows you to set a user as a backup operator, a power user, etc

Click Start, and then click Run.
Type gpedit.msc and then click OK.

When Group Policy opens, you will see two options in Local Computer Policy: Computer Configuration and User Configuration.

User Configuration allows you to set policies that apply to each user who logs on to the computer.

    That the one? :eyebrow:

    no... I was thinking about "control.exe userpasswords2"

but it doesn't have what I want... but I've been in computer management and it has the local profile setting... but it doesn't work with the resolution... even if I set a local profile to each user on my computer, if I or them change the resolution, it changes it for all user configs... even if I don't use a global profile... anyone can help me on that one cause now I'm clueless..

if I can make it work that way I don't care...

the thing is that I use 1024*768 and my father use 800*600 and everytime we change the resolution, it changes it on the other account too... so that's why I'm looking for a way to not use a roaming profile.

thats simple then, just leave it at 1024x768, and set the font on his profile to xtra large.
