Windows XP logging activities in registry

    I thought some people might be interested in this article.
    I dont know if its been seen before?

    I know that in fact this large record of used programs, URL's and files is used to build the "Most Recently Used" lists, and if you use the program that Helamonster wrote to disable logging you will lose the MRU programs list in the start menu (no big deal).
    However...its hardly surprising that after 6 months my machine starts slowing down..

    Does anyone know of any other useless entries in the registry that can be deleted? I know they say aggressive registry cleaning is needed with XP to keep it clean and I'm looking for articles that explain what can be deleted.

    I'm also looking for ways to stop me having to reinstall XP every 8 months just to get some speed out of my machine :/ (install linux instead...).

    Ad-Aware will delete them when you scan
