you know how to build a computer from the pile of parts lying around on the kitchen table...

you spend hours trying to squeeze 10 more Mhz outta your gfx card/CPU

When co-workers refer all computer related questions to you.

When you consider installing a cushioned toilet where your computer chair sits.

When you get as far are as asking your local government if you need a permit for said toilet.

When you shift your car into a higher gear and visualize '>>' and then procede to speak 'execute'.

You cannot remember where your keys are, but 1010 registers just fine as 'A'.

Oh, crap, I HATE it when that happens....

    - when you correct people and tell them that it is NOT the Internet that is running slow
    - when you own 5 "geeky" shirts, like the aforementioned binary one, that say stuff like "Will code for food"
    - when you know more programming languages than "real life ones"
    - you have legitimate reasons for patching a CD
    - you also have legitimate reasons for staying anonymous on the 'net.... ;)

    Guilty, Guilty, Guilty.

    •When you're about to get a 127.0.0.1 tattoo :worried:
•When you're so passionate in your hatred of a certain soundcard manufacturer that you can (and will) rant about their shortcomings whenever the opportunity arises.
•Your list of sites to check daily includes: The Register, The Inquirer, Slashdot, Snopes et cetera...

42+2) when you post in a thread like this
42+3) when you write stupid things like 42+3)

•When you actually have a list of sites to visit daily...
    •When you remember alt codes (• = 0149, ® = 0174 et cetera)

*Summons the Pun Gods to rain down fire and brimstone upon Thomas*

•When your girlfriend thinks a "I ♥ My Geek" T shirt is a good idea
•When you feel bad for rebooting your main PC
•When you have enough PCs to call one your 'main' one

When you name your computers after science fiction or anime characters (book or film) and refer to them by name when discussing their problems with friends.
