Press Menu and + at the same time, you'll go to a hidden menu with your panel info. Props to Kenco_uk for finding that out.

You'll see the panel part number, and you can google that for more info.

I've taped over the unecessarily bright blue power led to tone it down :)

It's a SA-LTM240M2-LO1 panel. So one of the good ones.

Looks like a great deal, could I get 3 short questions answered please? Before I take the plunge and buy one :hehe:

    • Is it HDCP? - the specs don't seem very clear on this...

    • How does 1080p stuff look on it?

    • And is there any way of knowing what panel I'm getting before buying it?

    Cheers

1080p stuff looks OK, it's not ideal but my Xbox looks fine on it.

And no, there's no way of telling what panel you're getting before you buy (it shouldn't matter too much as long as it not a TN one which I'm not sure if any of them ship with.)

The HDMI cable should carry the audio, does the monitor have an audio source option of HDMI?

Ok, thanks for the help - looks like I'm getting me a nice big screen then :D

I guess I can always return it if the panel isn't any good...

It's an HDMI cable to DVI. I just "modded" the Xbox component cable so it would fit next to the DVI cable. The monitor comes with a component -> 3.5mm jack converter.

In that case, you should just take the component 360 lead and crack the casing off, that'll let you stick it into the 360 at the same time as the HDMI with no issue

I've just ordered one from Aria for £160, the offer came back. There's still three left at that price if anyone else is interested :)

Here's to hoping it's a VA panel. Hopefully, looking at EndingCredit's experience, it will be. Even if it isn't though, it's still a lot of monitor for the money.

Mine arrived! It's a VA panel, code CMO-M240J1-LO2. First impressions: big, bright power light, nice colours.

i am soooo tempted to buy two more of these for triplescreen goodness... 320+ shipping is laughable for such an extreme setup! :eeek:

Should i? Should i? *hovers over the 'buy now' button*

I'd like another one - they're awesome. Problem is that I can only fit one of these and a 19" at most on my desk. :sigh:

I have a bright power light on my TFT too, I used insulation tape to "remove" it

Finally got round to putting the other bit of my arm in and now realise I've got to shift where it's mounted to the desk as I prefer having it a little bit further back!
