    Feels like gouging from Intel, with them rearranging the pins of S1151 to make Z370 compatible with Coffee Lake CPUS only.
    Other than saving space with multiple (and faster) M.2 drives, I see no gain over the venerable Haswell i5 for my purposes. If I needed more cores, I'd look at Ryzen, but Ryzen 2 will be out by the time I run out of grunt or need an upgrade.

    One thing I will give mobo manufactures, is they have really nailed the aesthetics over the past couple of generations - IO shields, integrated M2 sinks, lighting options etc have really made these new boards the best looking components in most builds nowadays.

    I agree, Intel are crap for consumers right now. I will upgrade to Ryzen 2 when it is released.
