Is this the hyped Zelda game that was set to take the console scene by storm, when in fact it looks like a cartoon? Pre-judgements aside, if it's Nintendo and it's Zelda, it's bound to be good.
TBH, I'm really looking forward to playing it.. there's far too much emphasis on 'photorealism' from games.
I think the cartoon idea might work really well.
*cough* WindwaKer *cough*
Not sure why everyone has got to calling it Walker. Strange
Aaaanyway... should hopefully get to play this soon. Looks awesome from the screenies and reviews I've seen. Also, the graphics look great imo
I knew that..
Windwalker 'sounds' right I guess..
Yeah, I know what you mean. Kind of flows better, where as waker sounds a bit... blunt?
My copy is comming today so i think an all nighter is on the books. I have been waiting for this game since i finished ocarina of time and it is the whole reason i bought a gamecube.
like the toshiba laptop in the back
god i wish i had the money to buy that and metroid.
I do hope that's got Ocarina of Time free with it Kna, else I'd have waited for the UK release
According to Importmadness it does, but can you believe that I haven't had a chance to play it all weekend.
Wow! I came home from college on friday and started playing it at 6pm and didnt move from it till 4:30am saturday. I havent played a game that long non stop since FF7.
Good stuff then
Sweet. I did that with FF7 too. Can't wait for this game now
got a url for Importmadness ??
£30?! Damn that's cheap.
will these games work on a uk game gube with a freeloader disk ?
I assume so yeah. With the newest Freeloader. That's how Kna is doing it (I recall, correct me if I'm wrong).
GBA games are dead cheap too... Nice site!
Yup, both my Metroid Prime and Zelda are Canadian imports which work with the UK Freeloader (Action Replay in my case, because I'm a cheatin' bastich )
Having had a quick leg around the opening area in Zelda, I have to say I'm attached to the graphics almost immediately. The animation and touches are so smooth and yet you think you're playing a cartoon. Imagine 'Toy Story' where the idea was to make them look like toys and not like humans.. the rendering is superb, yet the visuals are really different (which lends itself to an adventure game).
As for the game, the control mech is the same as previous Zeldas, which is a bonus, and the gameplay is yet to be seen as I'm not very far into it.
If you liked Zelda and can adapt to the new visuals, I think you're going to like it.
well i orderd my copy of zelda up
zelda is comeing from Importmadness
while freeloader is comeing from play.com ( only becase it's cheaper £12.99)
Even though I'm broke, I bought this last week by trading in a few games (cost me £3 then, lol). Probably the best Zelda I've played so far... Just so much to do and the dungeon puzzles are so cool. More emphasis on single rooms rather than the whole thing (whereas Ocarina of Time was more the opposite).
Played it for a good 8hours straight on Sunday evening after playing on it with my girlfriend all morning, lol
