Hey guys, sorry I have to bother you again.

Could a Zotac GeForce 9300-ITX WiFi run a Q6600 (not overclocked, maybe 3Ghz)?

Currently I use said processor with an ATI 4870 512mb, but I hardly game, and if I do it's UT 2004. The CPU is used quite frequently for video editing now, and (rubbish) raytracing.
The plan is to sell the graphics card, existing mainboard and PSU and get one of those lovely little mainboards. But I wanted to make sure first, that the CPU would actually work.

The thought of a little 200x200mm cube is tempting.

    thx

Looks like it should work according to Bit-Tech and Zotac's own website. Just don't try overclocking.

I would love to build an HTPC with this board, and that sexy Siverstone mini-itx case that takes 9" PCIe cards.....cool as man

There is some conflicting information here, the Zotac site says that the Q6600 is compatible, but in the bit-tech review, it says the board only accepts cpus with a max 95W TDP. And the Q6600 is rated at 105W TDP.

Meh. So I'd better not try huh? Some people who tried say it works, others say it doesn't. But I'd be planning on running it 100% for longer periods of time. :(

It could shorten the lifespan of the VRMs on the board if you're running it on full load 24/7.

If in doubt, underclock a bit!
