Seen a third of this video so far. Impressive stuff to say the least. Also, makes me question how I'll play the game. I might actually skip the fast travel aspect if the journey between places is immersive.
They've done a sweet job on the look of the game, my only complaint is the high bloom effect. Hopefully we can turn that down a little bit.
im squeezing every little bit of life out my i7 920 i can, cant afford to up grade as i lost my job Just hoping to run this on half decent settings at least.
Should stick with your current rig, it's capable enough! Had to scale back settings with The Witcher 2 upon release because my system couldn't run it at my then native resolution of 2,048 x 1,152. Lowered a few settings including the resolution to 1080p and my GTX 460 SLI just about managed a reasonable frame rate. Fully expect The Witcher 3 to destroy my current setup as well!
when are new gpu's are out ? my 7970 is nowhere near good enough to run this game, i had to play Witcher 2 on medium/low, so i imagine it'll be even worse with the new game...
Wanna play it already, hope it's as good as I anticipate, combat looks quality, dialogs look good & the big open world looks fantastic.
I've only ever played a select few RPGs as the majority didn't interest me but I bought The Witcher 2 on a whim and it got me hooked. So very much looking forward to the sequel! Bit of AngryJoe playing a preview build...
Get the sense GOG Galaxy has been released in Beta for the upcoming Witcher 3 Pre-Load! http://www.gog.com/galaxy
The GOG.com links aren't working for me at present, I shall try the Galaxy client when I get home - seems people are having more luck with that.
Downloading it but it must be coming through real slow, usually at full speed 26GB would take just over an hour, it's been that but has only reached 8%. But we can't play it til the 19th anyway.
