Yes, you can save your result on the score screen, then submit the result by right-clicking on the 3DMark05 window at a later date.

/me waits for Twunka to submit a score that doubles that of any other on the ORB :eyebrow:

Thought i'd give the new ATi Hotfix a try, first thing i noticed was artifact heaven. Switched back to 4.9 Control Centre and it's not artifacting. My highest score is 2736, specs in sig.

    twunka@owned.bit-tech.net /me thinks :p

hehe just kidding. there was some project on ORB which had an athlon detected as 12000mhz and the 3dmark scored was massivly inflated for some reason. Maybe its detecting something wrong on twunka's comp?
which brings me to the point, why would you calculate a score purely on specs of a comp?

You wouldn't, 3DMark score is based purely on the Game tests, and the CPU score is based purely on the CPU tests.

yeh I know. its just weird that all the fps and such in the ORB page was pretty normal, except its had the athlonxp detected as 12ghz, and the 3dmark score was massive. all the fps, graphics clocks etc seemed normal.
I don't think it was a "fake" score, i think 3dmark just went mad :eyebrow:

I'm guessing my Intel Extreme 2 64meg graphics card on my laptop won't be happy. Assuming it can actually run the test of course :waah:
the geforce fx 5600 128 meg I've got won't be too happy either me thinks :(

:dremel: The latest Intel integrated gfx (GMA900) on the Intel 900 series mobos is a big step forward and can even beat the old ATI 9100IGP, and not just because it is DX9 vs DX8. Still if you play any real games an add-in card makes much more sense. 9800Pro are £120ish and using 3Dmark03 as a guide you'd score over 5000 instead of just 1500 of the GMA900. Unfortunately the Intel EG2 (Extreme Gfx 2) is comparable to SiS651 so way slower than nF2's IGP (GF4MX/GF2) while even a lowly Rad9200 or FX5200 are way faster.

lets just see if my laptop meats the system requirements :D

lets see... I need a 2ghz or higher.. nope.. tis a 1.5 pentium-m (although it is supposed to perform around a 2.2 to a 2.4ghz p4 with no ht)
512 ram.. check (minus 32 or 64 shared)
about 80 megs free hdd space (I've partitioned a whole bunch and didn't think I'd need that much, but I do have about 8 gigs of music taking up some of that  ) I need about 1.5 gigs, or at least it claims
win xp, no sp2, other than that up2date
    I got dx9c :)
64 meg vid card :( (says I need a 128 meg... oh well.. at least I can poke fun at a friend who has a geforce 4 ti 4200 64 meg :D)

downloading it right now. will let you know how it goes asap :D in about an ahour and 42 mins :(

    EDIT:
    Can't run it :waah:
I am using the drivers that came on the cd though... that might be it
I dougt it though. Later tonight I should have a score. :)

Yeah, I pretty much figured that. ah well.. I never bought my laptop for gaming anyways. I have started installing 3dmark 05 on my main comp now... I shall post back with results

EDIT: rats.. I have dx 9.0b :miffed:
The benchmark will most likely have to wait till I get home from work today.

    Check out my score.
I think its pretty high as I'm only running an AMD 1800+ and 256DDR Ram :waah:

A 6800 GT will do that for you. :)

Are you using the hotfix to build 110 as well?

That's cos it's a graphics based benchmark and is pretty much completely dependant on the graphics card and not the rest of the system!

Although I have to say even then I'm suprised you did that well! :)

I'm updating the drivers of my GT at the moment. I'm still running the ones that came on the CD. I'm gonna try to run it again and see if I get better results :)

Edit: ok, I launched 3Dmark05 again and scored 3611 this time... <score>
might be because I didn't warm up my graphics card :eyebrow: (lol).
