    *scratches head

    9800s getting 2300-3000~+ marks
    6800s getting 4000~+ marks

    a 9600XT getting 4300marks

doesnt make a damn bit of difference what 9600XT it is, youre not getting 4300 marks in 05 with it (without dirty cheating that is)

what is dirty cheating in benchmarking. overclocking??? tweaking the hell out of windows??? running an airconditioner into my PC??? stopping almost every windows service??? eating peanut m&m's while running benchmarking??? if it is then i'm guilty of dirty cheating lol

yeah thats on version 1.1 (or whatever the little patch was)

kind of twinkly black artifacts, then a hard lock in GT2 at over 450odd core :sigh:

ill try it with 66.72 today

Twunka- it doesnt matter how much you overclock a 9600XT or how many windows services you are turning off, youre *not* getting a legitimate score of 4300 with that card, you have the compare link?

woul you rather see your graphics card cry doing 10 fps in 3dmark05 or doing 100's in 3dmark03.

:thumb: The 9600XT even overclocked to high hell is still way slower than a 9800Pro because the 9800Pro has double the pixel pipes, vertex shaders and 256bitDDR versus 128bitDDR. For the 9600XT to have comparitive speed to a 9800Pro it would need to run at 760/680 (1360mhz DDR value). The 9800Pro's get around 2400ish, even o/c'ed to extremes they're surely never going to hit 3000 let alone 4000. I think that's what people are confused about.

That score just doesnt seem to add up, not for a 9600XT anyway.

Do you have a futuremark compare link? (I dont see it on the search and compare site)

If its for real, then its the best overclock on futuremark.
