One more day till I start epic BL2 weekend with friends. Still can't decide on whether to stick with the Commando, or go to Salvador for his Pistol bonuses on the left most tree...

Are there any epic revolvers later on in the game?

 

Very epic revolvers. I regularly bin 600 damage pistols because I don't like the fire-rates on semi-auto weapons, even Jakobs weapons that let you fan the hammer as fast as you can click.

 

Anyone know any where to get this cheap? I'm gonna take the plunge but I'm sure Steam is FOOKING expensive, as usual..

Around level 20 you start seeing high dmg pistols, personally prefer to sacrifice a bit of dmg for a element. Explosive is pretty vital as is fire.

Highest dmg wep I've seen at 25 was a 4k rocket launcher, or some point blank shotgun 200x 25 with 10 accuracy Cheesecake lol. They both went vendor. Launcher was white the shotgun blue with no accuracy.

 

One other question, I found that the explosive weapons I picked up tend to have a bullet travel lag, i.e. Bullets don't hit as fast as on non-explosive guns. Is this true across the whole game?

 

Yup. Because explosive weapons aren't firing bullets, they're firing "Gyro Rockets", which have slower velocities.

 

I have a 6k rocket launcher at level 25 or something like that .

 

Faugusztin, you crazy mofo..! Shame it can't shoot straight..

 

That rocket launcher also has a bayonet. For...reasons.

Oh and explosive ammo does moar damage.

 

Well, let's just say it takes down a constructor on 3 to 4 shots .

 

Got a new snipe rifle yesterday with 2.5k damage and over 15k critical damage. It's great but has no scope

 

Last night I found a 1258 damage jacobs revolver with a scope

I love revolvers

 

Revolvers are great.

I've decided to go SMG mainly on this playthrough but it's always good to have a nice sniper rifle.

 

I also acquired The Bane last night, its absolutely awful. don't get me wrong its as powerful as hell for an SMG but its incredibly inaccurate. Not to mention I move at 0.0001mph when its equipped.

 

That's why it is a last resort gun for me when i am cornered .

Just wondering what kind of shield you lot are using? I'm currently using one which has a nova explosion effect when depleted, my co-op partner is using one of the super powerful ones that reduce max health.
