    I think there's talk of September or October as a release date

    Official Release date will probably be dropped during E3, as well as more information and gameplay.

    I am glad that, at least, it's in the Creation Engine, though, since that means we get to enjoy proper shadows, rather than the actor-only shadows that Fallout 3 and New Vegas worked with (Where pretty much only NPCs cast shadows, buildings, lamps, mailboxes, they all just had a bit of AO if you were lucky, which looked like arse.) (Plus a lot of internal stuff in the Creation Engine is taken straight from Gamebryo's Fallout 3 iteration, EG: The slowmo effects are just tagged up as "VATS" in the commands used.)

    I am hopeful as to the scope, and I'm holding off pre-ordering purely to try and get ahold of the inevitable Collectors Edition, but I know that, Being a Bethesda Open world RPG, it'll probably be awfully buggy on release. Its nice to see the game with a reasonable colour palette, rather than everything being hazy green or hazy orange.

    Yeah, waiting on details of the Collectors edition aswell.

    Usually try to stay away from a game once it is released, unless it has been tested by the American guinea pigs with their earlier release date =P

    Or it will be unfinished and released on the 10th November followed rapidly by a number of patches.

    That's kinda what I meant... It'll be released this year, but it won't be next year until Bethesda and the Modders [mainly the modders] finish/fix the game [plus the inevitable DLC]...

    I'm a huge fallout fan, but Bethesda have a reputation...

    All games are released in this way these days. Ubisoft is a prime example, Far Cry 4 was an absolute nightmare. Been pretty impressed with Witcher 3 first game I have played for a while that pretty much ran sweet out of the box so to speak.

    There seems to be a settlement building option, the demo involved putting up buildings to the extent of deciding walls, layout, etcetera.

    Not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm worried it'll be a micromanagement nightmare!

    It could be like the house-building in skyrim, where you essentially pay for someone else to lug the stuff for you...

    Glad it's not just me scratching my head at them!

    I've no frame of reference, so I can't really say, but it looked very much an involved process from the video that's cropped up.

    Edit: Video for those not at work/**** connections;
