I think as each update comes the older ones should be merged into the sticky thread :)

Well I dunno what to say, I'm speechless....again :jawdrop:

He may have to do like Zap did for his lan pc and just make a seperate thread for all the pics/descriptions and have it so only he can post there... that way we don't have to go through a jillion pages of people being impressed (with good reason, btw) to catch up.

G-gnome, thank you, just thank you.

I am amazed at the level of detail, you must have put a lot of time into planning this mod and with what we have seen so far it shows.

    Thanks legoman666 and Rob :) I don't know how I missed that :duh: !
From www.jaycar.com.au , they were little 240v lights but I ripped out the wires/bulb and coloured lens.

Cheers for the great feedback all!
Stranger things have happened ... ;)

so is this art or a case?

are you doing this now, or is the case nearer completed, and your slowly teasing out updates?

The case is currently exactly as shown in the update. I hope to post updates as I finish each part.

Art or case? That's up to the individual looking at it. I am building it for the personal artistic/creative satisfaction, but I also want a powerful, functional tool to play games, edit video and photos, etc.
I am posting it on BiT-Tech because I also get enjoyment out of writing it up and want to show the modding community (and particularly the BiT-Tech members' whose Mods really got me hooked on Modding) how much they have inspired me to get off my butt and 'have a go' - I mean, almost all the mods are (or are variations of) mods done previously by people on this website! Also the feedback I am getting has made me revise/upgrade some of my plans and a couple of posts have reminded me to consider certain things I wouldn't have thought about otherwise - so there is a practical reason behind it as well.

Anyways bro, Real sweet case. I love the theme and I think that the tubing for the wires is ingenious  Dunno if this was asked before but how much did all the chroming cost? Keep it up bro as I cant wait to see the finished product

It lies to me too, you know - "C'mon G-gnome ... finish me ... I promise it won't take too much of your time or cost you too much money...".

The chrome question was asked (and answered) in this thread - check some of my posts. ;)

It's a tight fit, plus a few small drops of IPS Weld-On No.4 acrylic cement help.

Stunning, just stunning. I await more updates, but not at the expense of quality craftsmanship.
