Well I'm hitting around 100F on Coretemp without folding and it's pretty cold in my room too

around 119F folding with 1 core
around 132F folding with 2 cores
around 141F folding with 3 cores
and 149F with all 4 cores folding

that's why I don't like to fold all day everyday

I chose a bad week to have off to decorate!

Ive been laying laminate flooring and painting walls, never in my life have I seen paint dry so quick, so much so if you go over a bit of wall you painted a minute before the roller gets sticky and takes paint back off the wall lol :waah:

Not thread related I know but hey lol :dremel:

I think we are all suffering from the excessive heat, and our folding kit!

How do you know how hot it is on your roof Taffy. :cooldude:

I thought Wales was in for some rain according to last nights weather forecast  Or did they get it wrong :nono:

Yup indeed mate lol, I need to get the room done and had the week off to finish it so come rain or shine I have to finish it this week, who needs a sauna!

    My home machine temps today:

    i7 920 @ 3.8ghz is @ 69 degrees
    Q6600 @ 3.1ghz is @ 67 degrees
    OC'd GTX260 is @ 70 degrees (100% fan)
    9800 GT is @ 78 degrees (100% fan)

Not too sure if I like the CPU temps that high, do you think they will be ok? :worried:

At an almost chilly 27 C in here..:D

However, neither card on my 2 machines has ventured above 54 C.

    Accelero Extreme Rocks!

Did hit 31 C in the room earlier with the windows shut, around 3.00pm, got a nice breeze flowing through now though. :D

If you're not suffering, you're not folding hard enough.

Might have to invest in some new gpu coolers as the heat may have taken another 2 (although probably just the same bad batch I've had before) although that means new cases as well.

Just melted a QX9650 with 2x SMP & a GPU on it. Appears to have fused to the board.
Had to replace it with my spare one & board until I finish my new i7 rig

It's looks quite normal, but physically wont come out of the board! I think the pins have melted to cpu.

It was running at well over 4GHz on air in 30-odd degree abbient temps (had her runnning at 4.8GHz on water before the loop went bad & turned to a battery (don't trust cheap scan rads & alphacola).
I'd given it a hammering (used to be 12th on the cpc benchmark leaderboard before i7's came about) so it's done well but still was a £900 chip :waah:

New one is @ 4GHz and 50 degrees but it's too hot to run SMP's on it (about to replace it with my new i7)
