Part of the reason I ordered them.
I'm also fed up of 80+ temps in an AC'd room & cards failing too often.

Lets hope I can mod the rack case enough to fit 4 of the buggers in

Check out Coolamasta's thread and you'll find this by yours truely

"What annoyed me most about these coolers is that you can't quite fit them into normally double spaced slots, they are only a millimetre or so too thick. I think probably this could be fixed with some hot tools (poker? file? dremel?) but I haven't really looked hard. Coolamasta does mention this at the start of his thread, and see the final picture, but I thought I'd emphasise the point. "

So you'll have to mod the coolers as well as the case. And if you are worried about the noise, even as low as 7v gives better cooling than stock (PNY 256Mb 8800GT).

Noise isn't a problem & if I have to I'll remove 1 side of the case

Not to bad here in the garage, around 25C at the mo. Plenty of air flow.

Bit muggy in general though here. Been decorating and it's sweaty work. Especially as all my 'missed' bit's are picked up straight away by the mrs!!

GPU's still at 49/52 on 511's though, so working well.

Hope something appears on the job front soon Vince. :thumb:
