Same. Hawken 'could' be fun but there are lots of "if's". MWO looks pretty much dead set to be really great though.
I've just been invited to the second alpha test, should get on it in the next week or so. Anyone else get an invite?
I've just been sent this in an email from a pin-up artist named Bawidamann - apparently he's been working with the devs on various bits, so it'll be interesting to see what he's been working on, given his other works. Custom paintjobs on mechs, possibly?
Playing the second closed Beta at the moment. Loving this game! It seems that the people on the beta are capable of teamwork as well which makes it all the better
I second that. I really like this game. I couldn't properly try it out during alpha but I was there for both betas and it is so great. Feels almost like Tribes, in terms of duelling with an opponent. I love the environments, the weapon models, the cockpit, the lighting and mood. I only wish it had a single player. That would be great.
I'm Fantus_Longhorn in game if anyone wants to add me. I'll be on again this evening. Joining servers is proving a little temperamental at the moment, regular failing to connect to games with spaces left.
Greetings! Tried this today. Disappointed. It plays too much as a FPS, there isnt a sense of mech combat at all.
It's not a traditional mech game, no. You probably want to be playing Mech Warrior Online for that. I'm lovin' Hawken, though. Aside from all the account syncing issues at the moment
From what I've played of it, I've enjoyed it substantially more than I have my time on Mechwarrior Online. I can tailor the mech in Hawken to my own playstyle more than I could in MWO. Sure the pace is more frantic, but it's good fun. I love the sense of momentum you get in it. From such a small team, they've outdone themselves in my opinion
