got it today and well, it is definitely bottlenecked by cpu more than 3d mark 11. Anyone selling a 3570k lol
Can anyone actually get smooth framerates on the fire strike with a single card? Extreme mode is supposed to be for multi GPU Also the benchmark comes up with an unknown error just before one of the last test saying it can't render to full screen or something, but only when I overclock my system. And I have to wait all that time to see if it crashes or not. I seem to remember previous versions behaving like that at times Edit: Unexpected error running tests. Workload Single init returned error message: DXGI call IDXGISwapChain::SetFullscreenState failed [-2005270494]: The requested functionality is not supported by the device or the driver. DXGI_ERROR_NOT_CURRENTLY_AVAILABLE Same happens with WHQL and Beta drivers, Worked fine before. Not got time to test it all again today.
I'll try the latest beta drivers soon. I've just tried it with forcing alternate frame rendering.. made no difference. It's clearly having a real problem with my system What the deal with reporting drivers as ??? as well?
3dmark vantage is for DX10 hardware and from the `vista` era , for win7 along came 3dm 11 - in 2011 lol ; this is all new and the engine scales with DX calls ; ergo test 1 is for DX9 level hardware , test 2 or DX10 and test 3 for DX11 - if you buy it and get extreme mode , game test 3 extreme is for sli/cf machines and really pushes those specs
I also get crashes when I try to run at a known stable OC, even in the DX9 and DX10 tests. And every time I run the test it says that the driver (Nvidia's latest WHQL) is not approved. Hmm. I'll try running my OC once more and if that fails, screw it. It depends on your definition of smooth... one of the video reviews was done with GTX 680 SLI and the final Fire Strike combined test sits at about 13 fps, LOL
noticed some issues when running this Cant get sli to work or even detect for some reason. Its running my gpus at 700mhz instead of 1040+, Its also decided to underclock my gpu memory to 2500. Scored 5.5k in firestrike with all that which seems rather crap. Firestrike combined test saw between 12-15fps would not say it was smooth at all. Will have to wait for next nvidia release drivers not ran beta drivers in a long time. Quick edit my drivers all show as ???? wtf lol
I haven't tried normal firestrike yet but the extreme mode is really jumpy when the camera pans and zooms. To be expected with only a single card though.
I ran this with a GPU overclock and have just realised that my CPU is at stock GTX 480 @ 880/2050 Will re-run the tests with my daily OC to see if it makes any difference. Edit: same GPU OC but this time with the CPU at 4.2GHz and memory at 1528MHz, 6-7-6-18-60-1T. I'm actually surprised at how much of a boost this gets me, especially in the first test, almost 50% improvement i7 930 @ 4.2GHz

Tried running this last night, but it kept causing my pc to crash. Tested my overclock on cpu with prime over night and it was fine and is still running now. Tested my graphics as well and they are fine and are running at stock speed. Will try it again tonight when I get home, but I am not sure that it was running properly last night because on one of the tests that it did it was saying I was getting over 2000fps. Will have to see how much it is to buy it though as it looks pretty good, aslong as I can get it to run properly.
Ran it with a 300Mhz CPU overclock and it doesn't really impact it that much to be honest, it increase but I also had a mild bump on the 680. New results ice: 173635 cloud: 25762 fire: 7079 CPU: i7 3770k @4.8 GPU: 680 @ 1241/7200. And because I could I tried it on my W8 Tablet running an Atom Z2760 Fear the power ice: 2442 and thats your lot due to driver crash and mass corruption
Is that with Lucidlogix on as I see it reports your intel GPU does this still give the false bump in score?
