This is absolutely great work! Like Burnout, I am very interested in that harddisk mount of yours. Is it something you came up with yourself? And what kind of rubber mounts did you use for the harddisk? Keep up the good work! /Mork
thanks Mork, I appreciate The system "screw-less" is not my property no about the rubber, they came from my Fractal Array (a NAS case), which I use too to take all the aluminium I need ! For the moment I wait the modder's mesh from mnpctech to continue the work on the chassis edit: see this kit, maybe you can find something similar
Liking this build! I guess you're going to have a fan hole cut into the side of the case for the CPU Cooler fan?
Not sure ! I will maybe change my motherboard for a H61 to have an i3 2100T which can be fanless with the Samuel 17.
Hello ! First, there is a surprise at the end of the post I just made a fixation plate for the riser to keep him inside the case. localisation I don't really know the exact geometry so I start with one first side. mark for the holes drilling cutting we continue the drawing with the other side cutting again little cut inside the plate for the style As this plate will be bend, I made some mark with the dremel after brushing the bend finish ! and one time installed with the riser Voila ! here we are at the end of the post ... Ok, the surprise is that Kingston make my so happy because the also accepted to join my project Thanks again Kingston !!
Unpacking !! And there: big surprise, there is one 16GB ram stick The ddr3 sticks ram HyperX are just beautiful The 16Gb ram stick And the ssd : a bundle very complete : one 2.5" to 3.5" adaptator, an usb external enclosure, a multi-bit screwdriver, which be very usefull and pretty , some fixation screws, a cd drivers, a sata3 cable, nothing to say except : it's a perfect ! He is really... superb! (the words miss me) Thanks again Kingston !!
nice pen oh and project is very cool!!! i've tend to build big pieces of junk but this project made me want to build smth small
well, awesome work. This reminds me that I have two cubes sitting around waiting for the same treatment, last time i did not bother as the ITX boards were 1,2ghz max, with crappy onboard graphics, those ITX boards have grown up, finally.. This is what I have done to one of them (RGB-LED): (loooooong time ago, BTW)
I have one cube sitting, waiting to be modded. I just need an OK gpu that fits inside the inner cube :/ (I want mini-itx with MXM-support ) @theguyfi: Are you going to lift the logo and replace it? My plan was to lift the logo and mill an inset circle for the windows 7 ball... Then Windows 8 came :/
@Alekoy: it seem to be a good work but for me there is to many lights ! You must restart one apple cube mod ! @christianw : Yes I think I will replace the apple logo by a custom one, don't decide the form yet, but if I can I will make a white led behind like the apple of the macbook
REALLY makes me want to start the cube I have sitting in the closet for such a project. I just don't have your level skills thegyufi. So jealous!
