Both of you stop it. Painkiller if you want to call people names go back to school or something.

If you can't be an adult when someone criticises your ideas then it's time to stop putting them out there.

It has 13,000 miles on it after 6 years of ownership. It's a weekend toy only.

It averages around 22mpg driven carefully, but tends to sit at around 13mpg most of the time, but that's US gallons, so nearer to 17mpg on average. Ownership is actually cheap. It has no official EU recorded CO2 figures so I pay a flat £220 road tax.. I think.. forget the exact figure now. It is on a 4K mileage specialist American car insurance policy that is actually cheaper than my Nissan Micra, and being so well cared for, and well serviced, has incurred no repair costs except replacement of brake pads and fluid after boiling my brakes on a track day.

In many ways, apart from the initial cost of buying it (which, due to the great exchange rate at the time was only 21K) it has incurred less costs than my Nissan Micra.

    -------

In light of the arguments in this thread... can I just add this is a thread about REALISTIC dream cars... ones you can afford to buy and run, and service, and insure. I'd love a fully restored 68 Shelby GT500 KR, but I'll never afford to buy one. I'd love a Gumpert Apollo but that will never happen either.

I have always wanted a Mustang though, and that is an attainable car that in this country anyway, is rare, exclusive and impractical enough to raise it above the average car. That's what this thread is about surely... not saying I'd like a F40 or a Veyron.

Dax Cobra 427 with a good old 427 lump. With it being relatively well priced i believe at some point this car would be attainable.

Why not change the thread title to "What car do you aspire to own?"
