3 new benchmarks, with the toughest of them 'Fire Strike' aiming to humble the current cream of the GPU crop. Full story and download link on TechPowerUp I'm getting a 670 in a couple of days so will be interesting to see how it copes with this bad boy
people are saying its CPU restricted though as they gained alot more score boosting a 3770k to 4.5ghz than they did boost gpu and mem core.
Crappy has just gone bench mark crazy...lol Hmmm I better down load it Edit: This will probably totally bust the balls out of my system
No, just plain full-fat squirrels Oh boy. What will it be this time? Back to dual 680's or possibly 7970's? Quad Ares II? Insert ridiculous exaggeration here?
I will download this tonight and give it a run. Cannot wait to do my new build but still about 12 months away from being able to do it, but my case will be bought once released. Just need to save the money for it, as the watercooling alone is going to be around £1000
Just ran 3dmark it ran all tests and here are the results. CPU: i7 3770k @ 4.6ghz GPU: Asus 7970 @ 925/1375 All watercooled (see rig) for some reason it wont recognise my GPU
Need to check how many cores each test loads. I'll give this a whirl tonight on my home system. Interested to see how much MSI and Galaxy is thrown all over it
Gave it a bash last night, doesn't seem to use more than 27% of my i7 so doubt its core related but will crank it up later on tonight to see my results, would appear I need new drivers or something ice: 164353 cloud: 24434 fire: 6941 CPU: i7 3770K @4.5 GPU: 680 @ 1200/???? +600 (don't recall what that is in total ) Will be interesting to run the tablet versions and see what its like.
I can't get it to run, every time I try and launch it I get: 'Steam failed to initialize' EDIT: here we go here ice: 95320 cloud: 13464 fire: 3146 evidently i need an upgrade
Something not right here.... Why is the first test so crap on my system. I guess I'll not be competing in this one... unless I find out what's wrong.
It says in the report that it's enabled and using it though... and it's only that one test that's terrible (GPUs weren't OCed for that run).
