Well a certain amount of heat is generated by the motor in the pump. I don't know why your loop should heat up that much with the pump though. Is the radiator warm to the touch as well?

Yes, it is warm.. but very very low.. I mean maybe 30C.. As far as I understand pump gives away about 10W of heat.. is it possible that this energy would heat up it so much? hose has the same temperature as radiator - little warm. But pump is like 2 times more...

from your pictures ivee noticed you havent got any fans attached to the rad to help cool it down, have you tried with the fans on the rad?

Yes, guy from Swiftech told me the same thing.. try to cool it down with the fans and then we will know if the pump is damaged... I need fans now:)

Yes, but didn't expect that pump will warm up itself like that, you know... it is only 10W.. suppose to to be anyway...

Small amount of water, low resistance, you're bound to get some heat build up.

Hmmmm... I was thinking about this PSU hanging out up there, never liked that option because it would cover all my cpu block and other stuff, so was thinking last night on making some update and I wonder if you guys approve this solution:

PSU going down, radiator with fans going on one of the sides, drive cage will be redesigned to be smaller. Of course to fit all the stuff down there I would use slim laptop dvdrw - which is so nice:)

Here's the idea, PLEASE comment it cause I don't actually decided what to do and now is a good time to make a move!:)

    SIDE

So??? what do you think??? I will have plently of space on upper level and no more problem with hanging PSU and its weight...

ooow.. I could rise the mobo tray 1cm more and then I could put PSU up, on its side.. standing up..you know… could gain some more space for future when I may need to add another radiator with fans on other side.. its like begging for it now :)

This is like my Casdon project. Move this, try that, rearrange this. This is what modding is - new ideas at every turn. I love SFF and this project rocks.

    Time for little update...
After decided to rearrange everything I finished making all mounting cubes.
These are all 4 cubes for top panel:

Drilled and threaded inserts fitted nicely with Iron solder:) Little dirty from masking tape glue left on them.. will clean them later...

Here are those additional "mounting things" I mentioned before - drilled and waiting for hot steamy insert...

Little dirty too - DREMEL polishing compound;)

Another thing - here is radiator's.. lets call it - plexi back wall..

Support holes drilled and ready to cut... using dremel this time, not jigsaw...

    And after..

and with sanded and polished edges

Liking the look of things so far

How are you planning to mount the disc drive to the case?

Just thinking of how much noise they make when they spin up, would be nice to have it mounted with rubber grommets

Well I'm going to use my old PSU - Enermax 500W - it has 140mm of length. So I got left 150mm for drive cage. Zalamn cooler have 146mm of width which means there is no way I could put them in, cause adding 6mm for both acrylic walls and some space for cables coming about from PSU.. I have no room for them. So looks like I need to go back to my first mountings of hdds - bungiee rope... New drive cage layout stays, but need to figer out how to mount bungiee rope to those walls (some small hooks or sth?).
In future if I would like to change PSU to for example Corsair 620W which has 150mm then I have 1cm less than now...:(
So I would have about 140mm for cables and the whole cage. I assume that 3cm for cables is enough to bend them up... maybe even 2cm. So I have 110-120mm for drive cage. If I use those ropes, I wont need rubber stands to fix to the bottom of the case. I will just screw it to the bottom., cause ropes will absorb all vibs from hdds...
Will try to make sth like this
