You have permission to use my material here to advertise the *NEXT* contest too. This could turn into something really awesome if we got enough people behind it. I really like to see what people come up with when they are not limited by cost and build ability.
yerp bill same as above, no problem atall use it why you like, as long as my name has been mentioned in it, i'm not fussed
yes sir if you want to, i can help you a bit, im decent in making videos (http://pic.leech.it/i/84fc2/be8e265omfg.jpg
ahh screw it, i cant control myself! Here's a few screens of the sidepanel to see what you guys missed! It's light anodised aluminum, with a yellow/amber acrylic rservoir behind it. Do you see how it works yet? Wrong! It's a lot wilder then that! Here, let me show you the back: Obviously, at some point i'll design a round rad for in the middle. I've also got 3 more features in mind for this sidepanel, plus two very distinct features for the case as a whole, both just as wild as this sidepanel. It'll probably be finished in 2010, and built by 2020
@Xtrafresh - the only way I can think do descibe that idea is inspired lunacy. It's fantastic. Everyone else those are some cheesecake designs.
Sometimes i'm really not happy with myself... 4 months to work on some designs, and NOW i get inspired. I just kept going, because i really did get inspired. Sharp minds will notice that i have not used any part of the starting case at all, but i can say that the original inspiration did come from it's vertical lines at the front and featureless sides. And if i'm not going to enter in the real contest, let's break some rules while i'm at it! Looking at the design and seeing it grow i think i could very well be looking at my next project. It will, however, be very expensive and very impossible, so i may have to cut some corners. Still, if i can pull it off, this thing would be an eyecatcher everywhere it goes. Anyway, here's what i came up with. Obviously it's not finished yet (no I/O panel, no graphics, no tubing, no front I/O, and about 1000 details to work on) but i'm already 1 hour past my ultimate bed-time... So, without further ado: The signature shot: Seethrough from the top: The opposite angle: And the internal arrangement of components: I know i'm bad at hiding it, but i am rather pleased with this result!
I'm collecting pics for video.. trying to give everyone equal exposure, I need at least 3 additional pics, close ups of features or different angles is fine These are the guys I need more pics from (PM is fine) Skullen Cheapskate bentleya
Are you interested in cases outside this contest at all? I've just got my computer working again so I've got a couple of cases on there (not as good as the ones entered but certainly interesting).
I think that it would look alot better if the aluminum was also rounded to match the acrylic. Sorta a theme that could be continued throughout.
