Wrap it in bacon, run prime95 or game for a couple of hours = dinner is ready, or just snack while you frag

repeat this process daily, using whatever sliced meat or fish or whatever you fancy.

im still praying you get the carbon fibre, but...

just in case, what about a seamless chromed shell? mock up the shell, sand it nice and smooth, send it to the chromers.

not sure on price or process, but could be fun.

You could get one of your buddies to weld together 1/2" plate steel...
I don't think the bacon would get hot enough to even dry on this rig. Snakeskin's been done, and it would freak out your pet collection.
Tile and stone have been done. Drywall...done. Critter pelts? I'd have to check through AlozoBistro's logs. Motherboards...done.

As cheap as that lexan was I would glue them together to make 3/4" layers and make a REALLY tough case! In fact... how many sheets were there? I may want to do a little side project...

Kevlar? That'd be bulletproof as well.

Carbon panels + 90deg fittings are in the mail. Have been for a few days now.

I must now retreat to my cave of solitude... the light here on the surface burns the eyes.

Cave of Solitude sounds better than my Fortress of Celibacy!

I don't mind my dreams of seeing a pc wrapped in smoking bacon ruined if it means Jhanlon will finally get his carbon fibre.
I did see some guys cook eggs on thier cpu's once, but no bacon! :waah:

I got a box from Bit-Tech after a couple months transit.

Check out the time stamps on this FedEx shipment! Warpspeed. I'll pick it up after 5.
Wonder what's in it? Don't remember having any friends in the Netherlands but I must.

Many Thanks to Bit-Tech and A.C.Ryan

I picked up the package from the FedEx depot. It was from A.C.Ryan in Rotterdam.

    My prize package for MOTM.

Many thanks to the forum members who voted for me and a world of thanks to Bindi and Tim Smalley who went the extra mile to see this happen.

Hmm Ridderkerk / Rotterdam, sounds like a familiar place since I live near there ;) :D

Good luck in further progression :thumb:

Two down; Two to go. Although CF#1 looks to be lost forever. Odds are good that it was delivered to the wrong house.

I'll show some pics of the very neat goodies today. I had several nasty emphysema attacks last evening and overnight.

    Pretty draining.

    Pics of my new stash

See, I'm still alive. Nip and tuck a couple times but here I am. Suffer forum members, I will haunt these interwebs forever.

    So, The Box contained:

1 A.C.Ryan Alupanel in 480mm x 480mm blue! I like blue. I have the blue anodize paint for the inner alum frames and the tiny radiator.

And now the high tech products from Rotterdam:

These two products are from A.C.Ryan's Mobilit line of offerings and they are cool.

What we have here is a 12V power supply plugin with adapters for USB powered devices, PDA, smart phones, camera., etc. Basically whatever you can charge from a USB 5V port you can do it with this.

The other piece is really neat - a USB Power External Battery! Charge that rascal up at home, slip it in your pocket and if a devive needs a boost charge - plug it in.

With 3 Blackberrys in the house we know USB charging.

    Many thanks to A.C.Ryan!

Now we also have 2 MeshX and AluPanel sample sets.

I got dog tags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My first. Too young for the Punic wars and too old for any after that.

Seriously, these are cool. Sample of the 1mm and 2mm selections available from A.C.Ryan and the MeshX with the hexagons and the original with the drilled round holes.

This was a nice surprise and pretty cool altogether.

Check out acryan.com - they have new stuff all the time.

The little tags would come in handy to show a painter or anodizer what colors you are trying to match.

Plus I can wear a couple for BLING !
