Hi I got myself some new hardware I face 2 things now First MY Enermax PSU keep Beeping...... Second My Q9450... First 2 cores give higher temps than the other 2 ... 10 degree difference ... I checked the cooler and thermal paste and did it like 5 times same thing...
This is my PSU model : ENERMAX GALAXY EGA1000EWL My new hardware list Q9450 4GB 1066 3870X2 EP45-UD3LR
It's not unheard of for the cores of Intel Core 2 Quad processors to be vastly different temperatures in pairs. This is primarily because Core 2 Quads aren't "native" quad-core CPUs - they're two different physical processors jammed together under one heatspreader. Ideally they'd give equal temperatures, but occasionally one die will be of poorer quality than the other and give off far more heat. End result: Cores 1 and 2 are 5-10C lower than Cores 3 and 4, or visa versa. Don't know about your PSU/GPU, though. - Diosjenin -
it would help to know the beeps mate. are they in a pattern or is it constant. When I installed a brand new 8800 GTX it beeped. I could POST and browse but anything that became even slightly graphics intensive would shut me down. Card was naffed and new one worked a treat. Also worth bearing in mind that video POST beeps are normally one long 3 short (well that's what google told me) but sometimes it changed in my case. All rosy with new card in though.
LED: Red Light Buzzer: Tow Beeps Interval: Information: 1. Power supply abnormal, protection circuit activated*. 2. Connector terminals are short-circuited.* Contact Enermax and see what they say.
Bindibadgi No that is the wrong state i'm on this : Light : Red Light PSU Status : On Buzzer: Tow Beeps Interval Information: 1. PG ( Power Good ) signal abnormal 2. System loading lower than Psu minimum output load requirement ** ( which is impossible )
Why is that a bs? He's saying that unless you've changed something else in there the PSU is at fault, and you should send it back to your supplier for RMA. What were you expecting? "We'll send an engineer out immediately" ? Just send it in for replacement, see if it helps.
you kidding me ? Buddy Did you notice i live in Dubai ? In other words UAE ? We don't have any one sell enermax things any more... I bought mine from a shop that had 5 that the owner brought from USA or UK not sure and he was selling them here for alot..... that shop closed from 1 year ... So now you know why this is BS ? I can't RMA my PSU
In all fairness, that is your problem mate... Besides the overly correct helpdesk-speak, the content of the mail seems fine. They need to get their hands on the unit to do any research no matter what. If you cannot return the unit, try finding somebody who knows his electronics, and fix the thing yourself. If you dont plan on using warranty, there's no loss in voiding it, right? I'd start by looking at the 8-pin cable itself. One tip: Try to find one of those 2x molex to 8-pin PCIe converters, or fabricate your ow in a worst-case scenario.
yeah brother the problem coz 8 pin cable and 6 see my new vga use 6 and 8 pin cables at same time when i used 6 and 6 it beeps but computer works npp when i did my own 8 pin cable it keep beep and computer works np so i don't know if i'm doing the wrong 8 pin cable or what ( Down 4 yellow Up 4 Black ) that how i did it Side note : I don't flam or hate enermax or any one replay to me... it's just people don't understand my situation most of times
no it's not ?! coz the 6 pin is 3 yellow down / 3 black up i googled and found that 4 pin vga cable is like this 4 yellow down / 4 black up I didn't play with first 6 pins ... I just added more 2 pins in same order
So it's Enermax's fault you bought a PSU you're not prepared to RMA? Surely there's a retailer close to you who stocks Enermax stuff? They might be able to help you. Send an email back to Enermax too, they might help you.
