Right all clients switched back to CPChimps.
    That feels a bit better

Nice job! You too Saspro, I know changing clients over must be a bit of a PITA for you so well done for making the trip :)

    Cheers for that.
I do hope my contribution is going to make a difference as its going to devastate my individual score I was on for 7 million in a month and a bit and I will almost certainly drop out of the top 20 as a result

    Just curious

OK, so I got the gpu-client client downloaded and running. Anything I need to know about setting this thing up so that it does its best?

Yup, there's several of us in the same boat. How long until the Chimps overtake you?

I might have just got one instance running on one of my uni's Unix boxes. This one has 8 Quad core Xeons I think, so if this works and they don't mind/notice (its exam season after all!) then I will try and get more going. Currently it is switching cores all the time which is a bit weird:

How long is this challenge due to last? My 20k ppd rig should be put together in a week but until then there's not an awful lot of point in changing over a P4 and a 4830 :(

As far as I know it is going on until we know the final placings (i.e. a team has finished 7th out of 8) or possibly until we get to 10M points, whichever comes later.

Cheers, shall do what I can. On second thought I'll reconfigure my 4830 after this WU, puts out around 2000 ppd OC'ed since it seems to have unlocked perma-511 mode.

Edit: My 4830 is now getting around 2100ppd for the CPChimps and on Tuesday I can add 20k ppd to that, assuming I don't electrickifry myself building the rig.

If its the gpu graphical client and you have it started right click the folding icon for the folding configuration tabs.
    There are only three

    User:
user name Tab: CPChimps team: 35947 on first tab

Connection Tab: dont really touch any thing here you can enable receipt of larger work units if you wish

I'd suggest putting it in the case with a motherboard and other components as they generally work faster :D

    Welcome aboard Combatus
