First year I've taken part in it and we just didn't have the notice to get the whole team involved. I don't feel let down, it's rather encouraging that everybody is willing to pull together. (also hasn't done us any harm with the extra ppd people have been pulling)

Mike got made redundant so doesn't have access to the hardware anymore.
He's going to become a teacher.

yea i wondered where cyberpower went to.
had some really good kit and a seriously high ppd at one point.
then the forums changed and now nothing :sigh:

hope its just a blip and there back folding soon

*edit* just saw the above post- he got made redundant, that sucks, although teaching can pay well and think of all those school pcs whereever he works just crying out to have fah installed.

It's a monkey challenge, what's not to understand?! :hehe:

Basically all the chimps challenge teams change their clients over to the same username, in our case teh CPC monkey is called CPChimps. This means that there are many people folding for the same username, so that username has a very high production rate. The goal is to get your chimps challenge username to 20M points as quickly as possible. OCNchimpin already hit the 20M and took first place, the rest are still undecided!

I certainly haven't heard of them Taffy!
Anyway, I doubt it has changed much since the 70s, apart from a new shopping center where the cattle market was.

I think the plan is to continue until we are the only team left, so unless TSChimp pick up some more PPD, there's another 2 weeks or so.

Let's make the effort to get over 10,000,000 in that time.

I've noticed that the Captain of CPChimps has been producing under his own name for the last few days, does this mean that the challange has now ended and we can rename our clients?

I'm going to try and get over to the datacentre tonight ofter work. There was me thinking hosting the servers in a datacentre would be a good idea for them to die on my.
Still not sure why the rolled back 3 machines though, the guy who did it hasn't explained how they all died at the same time (and only the HDD's went).
Wonder if I got a dodgy update (as they're all clones of each other from the same image with different names)

What sort of datacenter is it if you don't mind me asking? Is it large?

It's large enough. One of my customers happened to have a nice empty rack in their server room complete with lots of power, AC & enough UPS & generators to keep the site running for days.

Just got to get there whilst he's still at work (and his boss isn't looking)
